Official: Costs of cyberattacks on state info infrastructure $1.5 mln
MOSCOW, Dec 18 (PRIME) -- Cyberattacks on the Russian state information infrastructure cost U.S. $1.5 million, Vice President of state-controlled telecom operator Rostelecom Igor Lyapunov told PRIME in an interview released on Friday.
"Hackers frequently invest more in their attacks than companies in protection. This certainly creates a gap in opportunities. The cost of attacks on state information infrastructure can reach $1.5 million," Lyapunov said.
He also said that Russia needs to at least double the number of information security experts in order to be protected against cyber threats.
